Fades & tapers

A great fade isn't one haircut, it's a family of them, and the right one depends on your hair, your face shape, and how you live. At Slick Fades in North Olmsted, fade work is the core of what we do all day, every day.

Fade styles we cut

• Skin fade (bald fade): down to the skin at the bottom, blended smooth. The cleanest look going.
• Taper fade: gradual and conservative around the ears and neckline. Office-safe, always sharp.
• Shadow fade: faded low but never down to skin, so it grows out soft and stays low-maintenance.
• Drop fade: the fade line drops behind the ear for a rounded, modern profile.
• Burst fade: a curved burst around the ear; the base of mohawks and freestyle looks.
• Mid & high fades: more contrast, more statement.
• Scissor fades: for longer styles that still want a graded, clean edge.

What makes ours different

Blends checked in two mirrors and under two lights before you're done. Lineups finished with a straight razor, not just trimmers. And a barber who tells you the truth, if a mid fade suits your head better than a high skin, you'll hear it before the clippers turn on.
