The cut
Every fade gets checked in two mirrors before you leave the chair, and lineups get finished with a straight razor. If a style won't work with your hair, your barber tells you before the clippers turn on.
Slick Fades is a walk-in barbershop on Lorain Rd in North Olmsted. 4.9 stars across 113 Google reviews, open six days a week, one bear on the wall.
The first thing you notice inside is the wall. A floor-to-ceiling airbrushed bear runs the back of the shop: teal snapback, gold aviators, clippers in one paw, gold shears in the other. Half the cut photos on our Instagram are shot in front of it.
Come see it in person. It photographs well, but it hits different at full size.

Vintage leather chairs, the game on, conversation worth staying for. One review called it an "elite atmosphere." We just call it the shop.
Guys drive in from Westlake and Rocky River for their standing cut. Kids get their first haircuts here and keep coming back through high school. Walk in once and you'll see why.
We're at 23601 Lorain Rd in North Olmsted, a minute from Great Northern Mall. The chairs fill up with the whole west side: Westlake, Fairview Park, Rocky River and Olmsted Falls.
The daily work is on Instagram at @slickfadesbarbershop if you want to see what your barber did an hour ago.
